10th Annual Chocolate Spectacular and Red Sox Appreciation Day Photo Gallery

The 10th annual Spectacular was held in February 2014 at Whitney Place Assisted Living Residences at Northborough. Guests enjoyed an assortment of appetizers, chocolate desserts and wine. The fundraiser for the Friends of the Northborough Senior Center also featured a silent auction with over two dozen items donated by local businesses.

January 2014 was a red-letter day for Northborough Red Sox fans. Our town was selected for public display of the 2013 World Series trophy, and the Senior Center was the location for it. Some 500 fans lined up to have their pictures taken during a two-hour period. Ed Bombard of the Council on Aging seized the opportunity to photograph fans of all ages, from seniors to boomers to teenagers to infants. The Friends welcomed the lineup with complimentary snacks and beverages to provide fans with a welcome break from standing in line. For many of the young parents who brought their kids, it was their first visit to our town's beautiful Senior Center.
